I can honestly say that this is, in my knowledge, the most emotive image I have ever seen.

I never knew how much eyes could give away, but you have captured the very essence of sadness and longing in this one picture, which I truly find amazing. The fact that the eyes are in such perfect focus, with a slight mistiness makes the picture so powerful that it really does send chills down my spine.

The depth of field in this image draws attention to the eyes, which form the 'hub' of the dog's expression, while the rest of his/her features give away little about the emotion that is being experienced. To my untrained eye, it just seems to be a deep seated pain that he/she can only express through the eyes, making it a window to a tormented soul.

You've captured the gloomy feel, and enhanced it through your use of darkness and shadow, making the dog appear to be 'locked' in a metaphorical (and in most likelihood, real) prison.

I can't say anything more than just...Wow. Wow, this is amazing, I just cannot find anything at all wrong with it. Brilliant work. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
